Frances Valentine, PhD, is the Lead Animal Behaviorist at Sylvester.ai. In addition to holding degrees in zoology, animal behavior, and animal science, Frances has 25+ years of experience as an animal welfare professional with companion animals as well as poultry, livestock and wildlife. Frances spent over 15 years managing the cat assessment team at a leading no-kill rescue organisation, where she evaluated the behavior and medical needs of thousands of cats at the city shelter. Frances’ varied background in applied animal behaviour and welfare science provide the perfect foundation for her role at Sylvester.ai. She currently lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, son and chocolate brown cat Keats.
